Description |
Section 17.2.4.1 does not say whether the value returned by $fgetc is considered signed or unsigned. In C, fgetc() is signed, but signed is more the default for C while unsigned is more the default for Verilog. Specifying that the EOF value is -1 does tend to indicate a signed value. |
