Description |
Some unclearness with respect to $strobe and $monitor: 5.3 says, "The $monitor and $strobe system tasks create monitor events for their arguments. These events are continuously re-enabled in every successive time step." 1. The term "time step" is not defined. 2. This says that $strobe creates monitor events and these events are continuously re-enabled. But $strobe is a one-shot display task. 3. 17.1.2 does not clarify whether $strobe is blocking or nonblocking. 4. 17.1.3 says about $monitor that "the entire argument list is displayed at the end of the time step as if reported by the $display task." That could be misinterpreted to mean that $display executes at the end of the time step, so it should probably be changed to $strobe. -- Shalom Bresticker Shalom.Bresticker@motorola.com Design & Reuse Methodology Tel: +972 9 9522268 Motorola Semiconductor Israel, Ltd.
