A programmer needs to know, when scanning the arguments, that the argument is a pointer to a sub-array instead of a char*. The prefix to this array pointer needs to be standardized, or standard argument scanners are theoretically impossible. -- Steve Williams "The woods are lovely, dark and deep. steve at icarus.com But I have promises to keep, steve at picturel.com and lines to code before I sleep, http://www.picturel.com And lines to code before I sleep." |
