Description |
Specparams are shown in the BNF as allowing a range on the declaration. But unlike parameters, they do not allow signedness or the other types. The VPI model for specparams in 26.6.12 is different from parameters, and does not have links for a range on the declaration. I thought at first that the range must be an error in the BNF. However, section 3.11.3 specifically states that a specify parameter can have a range specification, with rules for determining the range depending on whether it is present. So why aren't the other types allowed, and why doesn't the VPI interface allow access to the range? |
