|
Environment |
#68 |
Description |
A.1.5 BNF allows an attribute_instance on generated_instantiation, which is the nonterminal for the generate-endgenerate block. In other words, it allows (* huh *) generate reg r; endgenerate But the generate-endgenerate block is not an object in the design, and has no associated VPI object from which the attribute could be accessed. Nor is there any obvious use for an attribute attached to it. This was presumably just a typo. |
Fix |
In section A.1.5, and in Syntax 2-6, 12-1, 12-3, in the rules for module_item and non_port_module_item, remove "{attribute_instance}" from before generated_instantiation. Specifically, in module_item and non_port_module_item, CHANGE | {attribute_instance} generated_instantiation TO | generated_instantiation |
