Environment |

Description |
26.6.42 specifies that attributes will have a boolean property vpiDefAttribute meaning "On definition". This is intended to distinguish whether an attribute on a module was attached to the module definition (true) or the module instantiation (false). But it is not clear what it should be for an attribute on other objects. |
Fix |
26.6.42 add: NOTE: The property vpiDefAttribute shall return true if the attribute was defined on a module as part of the module definition. The property shall return false for attributes defined on a module as part of a module instantiation or for any other object other than a module. |

The point that this property comes to distinguish between attributes on the module definition and the module instance is a subtlety which may not be obvious to the reader if not pointed out. At the very least, there is no harm in making it explicit.
