Description |
A suggestion: Turn all cross-references blue and/or underlined. Then readers will know they can click on them and go to reference. |
Fix |
Turn all cross-references bold blue underlined. Then readers will know they can click on them and go to reference. UPDATE (2004-11-25): The hyperlinks to Tables, Figures, and Syntaxes now work as well. |

I think it looks great in PDF. However, in printed form, it looks less nice and is useless anyway. I will send a sample page separately. Maybe we could have two versions, one for PDF and one for printing. > Turn all cross-references blue and/or underlined. > Then readers will know they can click on them and go to reference. You just need to get used to it, but it does not take very long. Shalom Shalom Bresticker wrote: > I did this on 2001b as an experiment (underlined bold blue) . Then readers will know they can click on them and go to reference. There is a complication. It works for the clause cross-references, but the automatic hyperlink action does not work for the Table and Figure xrefs. I think it is connected to their not being in the Bookmarks of the PDF. Right now in the draft, the Table and Figure xrefs are bold blue underlined as well, but that could maybe be turned off without difficultly. I could check.
