Status of issues needing clarification should have been (71, 158). Ammendment to issue 504, should have been preceded with a vertical bar before the word variable identifier. Moved Shalom, Stefen. None opposed, None abstaion. Minutes approved. 3) Report of the 2001c Project: Standard has been posted to IEEE Standards online, reporttedly. The new Standard appears on IEEE Explore, however, with no indication that it is a Version C. There also is no reference to the fact that an Errata exists. However there is another page that lists standards with errata, and it lists 1364. We've asked Andy to update the 1364 IEEE Explore page to include a reference to the errata document. 4) 2005 Draft C is completed, and is on the web site. This includes all the changes up through todays meeting. 5) Report of BTF committee: The BTF passed three documents: Extensions Guidelines, A process flow document, and a checklist that each proposal champion should fill out to insure procedures are being followed. Tom expresses Synopsys's hesitation on the Extensions Guideline itself, specifically the "Spirit of Verilog," especially as it applies to System Verilog, perhaps in a way that might a priori prevent adoption of elements of System Verilog. Tom will come back with a motion to clarify requirements for adopting (guidelines are guidelines, a vote is required). Shalom is concerned about the slow rate of progress of the BTF. Steve's response is that the guidelines needed to be agreed to first, and they have now been. From this point forward we will make good progress. Stu: how do we hit the 2005 date? Back solving says 6 months for ballot, three months for final edit cleanup, we have 14 months. Steve Sharp: How to avoid Errata? (Shalom: Issue tracking system should help). Kurt: we need someone with language experiance to chair Data Extentions. 6) Report from PLI task force: The group will meet at 4:00 pm today, and has two new members. 7) Report from ETF: Spent a lot of time looking at generate proposal, still need time to finish. Jason and Shalom have worked further on this, and made a before and after version, as there are myriad little changes that are hard to track. Should send this out this week, so the before and after can be easily compared and contrasted. No issues have been passed for the VSG to consider. 8) Then the group took up the next item on the agenda, which was to review and consider for approval the activities of the Errata and PLI Task Forces. Those seeking more information on these issues are directed to http://www.boyd.com/1364_btf, where one can access these items by issue number. As is usual practice, these matters are presented to the VSG by one of the chairs of the task force; discussion ensues; and only votes of those opposed or abstain are noted.
