This would be illegal. The temptation is to view as just a
new comment syntax... but it's not. The benefit is that you
can have an attribute (* myattr=foo *) where foo was declared
as a parameter and overridden... something that would not
have been possible with a comment pragma (i.e.
"// <vendor> pragma").
